Meet Our Staff

Chuck Wellensiek

Chuck is a native of Syracuse, Nebraska. He graduated from Syracuse High School and Peru State College. He began his teaching career in Table Rock, Nebraska before moving to Cairo to become Band Director at Centura High School. He retired in 2005 after 36 years at Centura. Chuck is a member of the Cairo Methodist Church, the Cairo Village Board and the Board of Directors at Centura Hills Golf Club. Chuck and his wife Mary have two sons and four grandchildren: Wes and his wife Kristi and children Emma and Cami of Hastings and Mike and his wife Nicole and children Henry and Sophie.
