Obituary for Agnes Dorathy Walachowski

Agnes D. Walachowski, 94, of Grand Island, NE passed away Monday, February 11, 2019, at Grand Island Lakeview Care & Rehabilitation Center.   

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Ord, NE. Internment will be in the Ord Cemetery, Ord, NE. 

Agnes was the second child of Thomas and Alfonza (Dubas) Walachowski.She was born on April 22, 1924 in Elyria, NE. She graduated from Burwell High School in 1943. After high School she moved to Lincoln, NE where she worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a Nurse’s assistant. 

She later moved to Grand Island, NE where she worked at Lutheran Hospital and St. Francis Hospital.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Victoria (Vicky); and her brother, Anthony (Tony).   

The family requests no flowers, and suggests memorials to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Grand Island or Our Lady of Perpetual Hope, Ord, NE. Online condolences may be directed to www.livson.com.  Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
