Ardene ‘Deno’ Doyle Schade, 73, of Grand Island, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the St. Francis Medical Center. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Quandt will officiate. Burial will be at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Mr. Schade was born on June 30, 1934 at home near Dannebrog to Gustav and Edith (Fortik) Schade. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; and two brothers, Roy and Arvie. Survivors of the immediate family include one daughter and son-in-law, Tracy & Mark Stinson of Lincoln; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kelly & Jolene Schade of Grand Island, and Roger Schade of Colorado; two sisters, Clara Balestri of Ennis, Montana, and Doralene Niedfelt of Grand Island; and a brother, Roland Schade of Ravenna. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Brooke and Abby Stinson of Lincoln, and Nathan and Nichole Schade of Grand Island; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Schade attended several country schools in Hall County, and then attended Ravenna High School and Alda High School. He married Delores Molczyk on April 21, 1956 in Grand Island. Mr. Schade served in the National Guard. ‘Deno’, whose shop was located on North Pine Street in Grand Island, was talented in building, repairing, designing and inventing. He remodeled several kitchens and homes, and built his own family home north of Grand Island. He worked for several years erecting steel building. He helped move and renovate several building at Stuhr Museum, and built the Greyhound Bus Depot in Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran School.
