Obituary

Alice B. Dittman, 82, sister of Liz Enck, of Grand Island died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Wedgewood Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Monday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Reverend Jack Sample will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.
Miss Dittman was born on April 8, 1929 in Grand Island to Manfred Carl and Sophie Augusta (Beyersdorf) Dittman. She grew up and received her education in Grand Island. Alice worked at Butter Krust Bakery for 26 years. She also worked at B & E Café and Sears.
She enjoyed playing bingo, going for rides in the car, eating out and having her nails done by her great nieces. Alice also enjoyed watching the food channel, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by three brothers; John (Joyce) Dittman of Deer River, MN, Carl Dittman and Liz Adams of Grand Island, and Edward (Karen) Dittman of Round Rock, TX; two sisters; Liz (Don) Enck of Grand Island and Betty Ann (Herbie) Jensen of Grand Island, nephews; Donnie Enck, Jr. of Grand Island, Dennis Enck of Grand Island, Dale Jensen of Solano Beach, CA, and Roy Lee Colman of Grand Island, Charles Dittman of Georgetown, TX, John Dittman of Taylor, TX, and Phillip Dittman of Round Rock, TX,  and two nieces Debbie Petersen of Grand Island and Carla Dittman of Grand Juction, CO.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Emma and Clyde Colman, a nephew Herbie Jensen, Jr. and twin nieces Suzanne and Suzette Enck.
