Alice R. Mueller, 69, of Grand Island, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 1, 2025, at CHI St Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island is entrusted with the arrangements.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Omaha at a later date.

Alice was born on December 14, 1955, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Wilbur and Gladys (Miller) Schaffer. She grew up in Omaha and attended school there.

Alice's pride and joy was her granddaughter, Braelyn, and she loved her dog, Tootie. She was a social butterfly and could spend hours and hours talking on the phone to her family. Alice had a strong sweet tooth for chocolate and Dr. Pepper.

Alice is survived by her son, Daniel (Kari) Mueller of Grand Island; one granddaughter, Braelyn Mueller; her beloved dog, Tootie; sisters, Barbara Stanton, Bonnie Hollingsworth, Cora Ridbath, and Cindy Roussell; and brothers, Gary Schaffer, Jimmy Schaffer, and Joel Schaffer. Also survived by, numerous nieces and nephews and one great niece.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Edward, and her sisters, Jennifer Nelson and Elizabeth League.
