Altha E. Pelz, 91, of Omaha, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017, at Josie Harper House in Omaha.
A Graveside Service will be at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, August 23 at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.Memorials are suggested to the Josie Harper House, Omaha or the Nebraska Humane Society.

She was born on October 5, 1925 in Cowles, NE to Paul and Ellen Buckles. She married Eldon (Bud) Pelz on November 30, 1944 in Washburn, IL. In 1962, they moved to Grand Island, NE.
Altha retired from Nebraska Methodist Hospital in 1999 at the age of 73, from working as a medical transcriptionist.
She enjoyed reading and gardening, and really enjoyed Siberian Huskies.She is survived by her daughters, Cindi (Mike) Dreves of Omaha, and Patricia (Mark) Lightner of Denver, CO; her only much adored grandson, Erik Lightner of Denver; and sister and brother-inlaw, Loretta and Jim Fielder of Grand Island.
Altha was preceded in death by her husband; and children, Steven Pelz, and Deanna Pelz.
