Angela Kay Washington, 55 of Grand Island, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her home.
A memorial service will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Jack Gillam officiating. A visitation will be from 5-8 PM at the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel.

Angela was born December 10, 1961 at Claremore, OK to Sylvia and Billy Gene Washington. She grew up in Oklahoma. She later moved with her family to Grand Island and attended Trinity Lutheran School. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High School with the class of 1980.
She worked for several years at the Country General Warehouse. Up until her diagnosis she worked at the daycare at the YMCA and loved the time she spent with "all her little kids".
Angela was one to do things "Her Way". Even when she was diagnosed with cancer in July of 2016, she continued to do things "Her Way", and not let the disease control her.
She is survived by her daughter Danika; her dog Coco; brothers and their spouses, Tony and Lorie Washington, of Grand Island, and Brian and Lisa Wilcox of Fremont; sisters and spouses, Debra Washington of Grand Island, and Robin and Doug Pollak of Seward; and fifteen nieces and nephews.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvia and Richard Wilcox and father, Billy Gene Washington; brother, Danny Washington; grandparents, Thurman and Ethel Brown and Joe Axe and Agnes Washington.
