Ann B. Harmon, 88, of Grand Island, Nebraska passed away January 25, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society in Grand Island.
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with a vigil rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2024 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grand Island.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Reverend Tom Ryan will officiate,
Interment will be held in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
Ann Harmon was born December 20, 1935 at home in rural Millboro, South Dakota to John & Margaret (Engelbert) Connot. She grew up in the Clearfield area and attended country school. The family moved to O'Neill and she attended St. Mary's Catholic School in O'Neill, Nebraska and graduated in the Class of 1953.
She was united in marriage to Donald L. Harmon on February 21, 1955 at Omaha, Nebraska. The couple lived in Sidney and Bridgeport, Nebraska before moving to Grand Island in 1961. To this union two children were born, Patricia and Vincent.
Ann worked as a pharmacy technician for 20 years at Burke Pharmacy in Grand Island. She retired from the pharmacy in 1985.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grand Island. The couple enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and traveling.
Ann is survived by one daughter & son-in-law, Patricia & Don Irvine of Cairo, NE; son & daughter-in-law, Vince & Natasha Harmon of Littleton, CO; eight grandchildren, Cassandra Wilber, Jake (Caitlin) Irvine, Jayne (Sean) Tivenan, Mike (Molly) Irvine, Sr. Mary Rose Irvine, Michelle (Tanner) Paxton, Caroline Harmon and Camille Harmon; and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John & Margaret Connot; husband, Donald in 2007; brothers, Lawrence Connot, Leonard Connot and Herman Connot; sisters, Mary Talcott, Agnes Sherman and Theresa Betcher.
