Bernice J. Beeder, 88, died peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Grand Island Park Place Care & Rehabilitation Center in Grand Island, NE.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grand Island, NE with The Reverend Marty Egging officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Bernice was born August 10, 1930 to Bernard and Julia (Teahon) Franssen at Anselmo, NE. She graduated from Brady High School in 1948. She married Orin Beeder on October 30, 1951 at McCook, NE. Orin preceded her in death in 1989.

Bernice worked in numerous cafés and the VA Hospital for 20 years in which she received various awards. She was a foster grandmother through CHI Health Saint Francis daycare.

She is survived by her sons, Terry (Nancy), Guy (Chris), Dexter, Lionel; daughters, Debra (Jim), Stacey (Dan); 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three foster children, Jack Franssen, Paul, and Torchy Aluspaugh; sisters Shirley (Dick) Speck, and Julia Mae (Tim) Burke; a special friend, Doris Baker; family; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother and sister in law, Bernie and Mary Lou Franssen.
