Bounlorm Bouasym, 74, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2017 at CHI Health-Saint Francis hospital in Grand Island, Nebraska surrounded by her loved ones.

A Memorial Service will be from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, Monday, April 17 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday, April 16 at the funeral home. Burial of Ashes will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 18 at the Grand Island City Cemetery.

Bounlorm was born in Nong Khai, Thailand. She and her family were sponsored by Marcille Friesen to settle permanently in the United States in 1980 and moved to Grand Island, NE.

she enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family. As a primary member of the Lao Temple (Buddha Metta Phaaphayaram Temple), she devoted her time embracing her beliefs.

Bounlorm was vibrant, full of passion, and loved by many.

Bounlorm is survived by her three children, Somphone Bouasym, Songkane (Sue) Bandasack, and Somphane Bouasym; her three sisters in Thailand; her 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chanh; her eldest son; two siblings; and her parents.
