With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joy Robertson, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed peacefully on "Good Friday" at home with family by her side. Joy was known for her unwavering faith and devotion to God, her love for her family, and her kindness and generosity to all.

Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island is entrusted with service arrangements.

To honor Joy's wishes, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Grand Island Cemetery on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Grand Island Central Catholic in Joy's honor, ensuring her generosity and spirit live on.

Joy was born on October 27, 1931, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Thomas and Barbara (Zetocha) Keck. They moved to Grand Island when Joy was a young girl. She attended school and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School.

Following her education, she pursued her passion for cosmetology, earning her degree in 1951. She worked at a salon in Cairo, Nebraska, before becoming the proud owner of two salons in Grand Island.

Joy married Andy Anderson on December 20, 1952, and her beloved son was born. On December 27, 1967, she married William "Bill" Robertson, becoming a devoted stepmother to his four sons. Her unwavering faith and dedication to her family were the hallmarks of her life.

She is survived by her sons, Donald "Don" (Jody) Anderson of Lincoln, and Michael (Jo) Robertson of Grand Island. Grandchildren, Jasie Jo, Jody Backer, Michael Robertson Jr., Robert A. Robertson, Leanne Braesch, Corey Robertson, her great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, who will all carry her memory with love and admiration.

Joy is reunited in heaven with her husband, William "Bill" Robertson Sr., her sons, William "Billy" Robertson Jr., Richard "Dick" Robertson, and Robert "Bob" P. Robertson, her grandchildren, Kevin Robertson, Barbara Mendoza Ramirez, and Jeffrey Robertson, her brothers, Louis "Louie" Keck and William "Billy" Keck Sr., along with his wife, Shirley Keck; sisters, Lucille Robertson and Dorothy McMillan, and Dorothy's husband, Alex McMillan.

She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
