Carl Edwin Fricke Jr., 83, of Lindsborg, KS, passed away, Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Heartland Springs Calvary Chapel in Grand Island, NE, with Pastor Sam officiating. A private family burial will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island, NE before the service. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Carl was born February 9, 1943 to Carl Sr. and Gertrude (Trump) Fricke in Comstock, NE. He grew up and attended school in Comstock while working the homestead with his family. He played football and lettered twice in 1960 and 1961.

He was united in marriage to Linda Marie Kennedy at Gladewater, TX on September 25, 1964. The couple moved to Grand Island, NE where he managed Conoco Service Station, later known as Conoco 1 Stop for 26 years.

He enjoyed working on cars, gardening, cutting the lawn. He loved taking the kids and grandkids fishing, to parks, zoo’s, swimming and camping overnight.

Carl is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Daniel (Deb) Fricke, Vivian (Jeff) Fager, Ted Fricke; sister, Charlotte Carey; grandchildren, Andrew Fager, David Fager, Tony Bargen, Storm Fricke and Harley Fricke; along with numerous other family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Tim Fricke and sister, Shirley.
