Carolyn Wilson, 78, formerly of Grand Island, died Monday, June 20, 2016 in Prairie Village, KS. Memorial service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Chapel with Reverend Del Roper officiating.Burial will be later at Burr Oak, KS. Memorials may be made to The Humane Society or The American Cancer Society.

Carolyn was born January 16, 1938, in Burr Oak, KS to George and Ruth (Fogo) Cordel. She attended school on Burr Oak and graduated in the class of 1956.

She was united in marriage to Gerry Wilson on June 15, 1956, in Burr Oak, KS. The couple made their home in Grand Island in 1965, after several moves with the telephone company. She worked at Bailey Photography for over 22 years.

Her hobbies included painting, needle point, and flower gardening. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she taught her children's Sunday School classes.

Carolyn is survived by son: Kent Wilson of Prairie Village, KS; daughter: Lynette (Jeff) Shultz of Owasso, OK; grandchildren: Ann Neigel, Erin Shultz, Cady Shultz, Elizabeth Wilson; great grandchildren: Caelen Neigel, Logan Neigel, and Sean Neigel; sister: Annette (Gary) Miller of Oberlin, KS; brother: Peter (Judy) Cordel of Colorado Springs, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Gerry in 2010;
