Charlotte F. Westerby, 96, of Grand Island died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island.

Charlotte was born April 22, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA to Charles and Anna (Werner) Trout. Prior to moving to Nebraska, she lived most of her life in New Jersey. She was united in marriage to Roland Westerby and was a wife and homemaker. She was involved with the church and taught Sunday school, played piano, and organ at many Christian functions.

Charlotte is survived by son: Roland (Janis) Westerby of Grand Island; four grandsons: Jeffrey (Jolyne) Westerby, Michael (Mandy) Westerby, Douglas (Mikaela) Westerby all of Grand Island, and Jon (Lacey) Westerby of Texas; 9 great grandchildren; and sister: Thelma Anthony of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Roland; and son and daughter-in-law: Thomas and Carolyn Westerby.

According to her wishes, Charlotte was cremated and no formal service will be held. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army in Grand Island.
