Obituary

Cheyenna Mae Urbauer, 17, of Grand Island, died December 3, 2016 in Merrick County as a result of a car accident. Funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Abundant Life Christian Center. Pastor Cory Schneckloth will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday at Abundant Life Christian Center and from noon to service time on Wednesday. Burial will be at a later date at the Grand Island City Cemetery. Livingston-Sondermann is assisting the family. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Cheyenna was born on February 25, 1999 in Grand Island, NE to Matthew and Katina (Millard) Urbauer. She grew up in Grand Island and attended Seedling Mile Elementary School, Barr Middle School, and currently was a senior at Grand Island Senior High and was to graduate May 2017. She was employed at Taco Johns on Webb Road.

She was a member of the GISH Bowling Team, Westside Jr. Youth Bowling, ABCDD City Softball League. Bowling was her passion, but also enjoyed cooking, as she was planning on becoming a chef. Cheyenna also liked theatre especially theater makeup, and playing softball. In her spare time she liked watching and collecting DVDs.

Cheyenna was full of life and had an infectious smile that would light up the room when she entered.She was a very generous person, and was always there to lend a helping hand, and was very caring.

Cheyenna is survived by mother: Katina (Phil) Nelson; father: Matthew Urbauer; sisters: Lakota, Shawnee, Kathrine Urbauer all of Grand Island; brothers: Frankie Cords of Iowa and Mark Urbauer of Omaha; step siblings: Phil (Sarah) Nelson, Jr., Jack Nelson, Heather Nelson all of Grand Island; grandparents: Paul (Gale) Nelson of San Clemente, CA, Dr. and Mrs. Urbauer of Grand Island, Melissa Sellands of Porcupine, SD; great grandparents: Jack L. & Carol M. Millard of Grand Island; aunts: Bambi Millard of Grand Island, Kelicia Millard of Omaha, Kim Urbauer of Leeds, England; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother: Becky Millard; maternal great-great grandparents: Clay (Mina) Millard, and Clarence (Goldie) Warren.
