Christ Salpas, 82, of Shelton, NE, passed away Tuesday, June 17th, 2025 at Grand Island Regional Medical Center.

Cremation has taken place per Christ's wishes; there will be a private family gathering at a later date. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. He was born November 1, 1942 to James K. and Molly (Michaels) Salpas in Lexington, NE and grew up north of Shelton. Christ was committed to Patty Baker for the last 27 years. While living in Shelton he worked for Gangwish Seed Farms finally retiring in 2021.

He was a stoic man that didn't show his emotions much but he had a great love for family and loved the visits more than he showed.

Christ was survived by his children, James, Karrie, Krystal, Michael; significant other, Patty Baker; sisters, Ida, Vicky, Dorothy; multiple step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grand & step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Molly Salpas; siblings, Nick, Gus, Donna, Marge, Mary, Josie, Betty, Franny and George.
