Clarice Allene Weinrich, 82, of Alda died Monday, February 17, 2014 at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island.

Clarice was born June 6, 1931 at Pine Camp, NE to Francis and Alice (Cline) Hawkins. She grew up in the Ord and Basset area. At age 13, she professed her faith in her Lord.

On April 10, 1953 she was united in marriage to Eugene Weinrich in Grand Island. The couple made their home south of Alda. She was a busy homemaker raising her children. Clarice enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking, and sewing. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Clarice is survived by her husband: Eugene Weinrich of Alda; sons: Alan (Judy) Weinrich of Grand Island, John (Mary) Weinrich of Grand Island, William Weinrich of Grand Island; daughter: Wendy (Rodney) Vlieger of Bradshaw, NE; son: Michael Weinrich of Aurora, NE; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Elnora Weinrich of Alda.

She was preceded in death by daughters: Janet Weinrich and Jean Orlean Hawkins; sister: Myra Denning; brother: Walter Hawkins; and brother-in-law: Dale Weinrich.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Stanley Morrison officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Tuesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
