Cletus W. Elson, 91, came into this world on November 30, 1924 at Norton, KS to proud parents, Guy and Anna (Lamb) Elson. He left this world on July 28, 2016 at the NE Veterans Home in Grand Island with his beloved daughter Joan Rapp by his side.
He served his country honorably in World War II, then came back home to run the family farm. He married his childhood sweetheart, Lucille Shearer in April 8, 1947. She proceeded him in death as well as a daughter; grandson; his parents; and his only brother.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Lucille (Shearer) Elson, 83, of Grand Island came into this world on May 2, 1925 to proud parents Jim and Alice Shearer in Almena, KS. She left this world April 17, 2009 at the Central City Manor in Central City, also with her beloved daughter Joan by her side.
She worked alongside her husband on the farm until they retired. She and Cletus then moved to Grand Island to be closer to some of their children. She was proceeded in death by a daughter; grandson; her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors of Cletus and Lucille include six daughters and several grandchildren.
Both were cremated per their request and their remains will be laid to rest at a private graveside service at a later date in Almena, KS.
