Cody A. Christensen, 14, of Grand Island died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 as a result of a tragic accident.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday at Abundant Life Christian Center. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Monday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Cody was born on January 15, 1998 in Grand Island. He received his education at Wasmer Elementary and Jefferson Elementary. He also attended Walnut Junior High where he received numerous awards for his art work, as well as academics.
Cody loved music, art and hanging out at the skateboarding park with his friends. He was always the life of the party and loved to make people laugh. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time at the river with his family. Cody loved to be different and always wanted to stand out in the crowd. He was the kind of person who didn't like to be told he couldn't do something and he would go out of his way to prove you wrong. Cody was very excited to visit Seattle this year with his aunt. He especially loved his nephew Milez and looked forward to showing him the ropes.
Cody leaves behind his mother, stepfather, father, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to count. His family friends will always remember him and cherish the memories he left them with throughout their lives together. We love you Cody, rest in peace.
