Crystal Gayle (Hunt) Bechtel, 39, of Grand Island, entered into Heaven, August 4, 2016. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at St. Leo's Catholic Church with The Reverend Don Buhrman officiating. A Christian Wake Service will be held one hour prior to service time.

Crystal was born to Roger and JoAnn (Christen) Hunt on July 23, 1977 in Broken Bow, NE. She grew up in Grand Island and attended Grand Island Senior High, graduating in 1996. She was united in marriage to Thomas James Bechtel.
She was a member of the Grand Island Senior High Swim Team.
Crystal loved to swim and could be often found near the water in the summer, especially the river. She also played softball through high school. She loved spending time with her family and going to family gatherings. She enjoyed animals, especially her kitties. She loved her skull and crossbones designs and a fan of Scooby-Doo. Crystal was passionate about donating her long, beautiful brown hair to Locks Of Love every year. She also listened to all kinds of music from pop rock, and classic rock to heavy metal and country. She was a free spirit who lived life spontaneously.
She is survived by her parents, Roger and JoAnn Hunt of St. George, UT;sister, Renea and nephew Alex Fikar of Fort Worth, TX; brother, Troy Hunt of North Richland Hills, TX and special friend, Mark Kahler of Aurora, NE.
Crystal was preceded in death by her grandparents, Leon and Clara Hunt and Leonard and Eileen Christen; Godfather and uncle Mike Christen; and brother-in-law, Brian Fikar.
