Delores "Dee" E. Mierau, 91, of Grand Island, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society in Grand Island.

Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island is entrusted with the arrangements.

To honor Dee's wishes, cremation was chosen. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island.

Dee was born August 29, 1934, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Clyde and Lucille (Thompson) Stevens. When she was young, her family moved to Grand Island, where she attended grade school and Grand Island Senior High.

She was united in marriage to Albert Mierau on February 9, 1952. The couple lived in Grand Island. Dee worked as a homemaker, raising their four children.

Dee was a member of the Platt-Duetsche and the Eagles Club. She loved making crafts and going to the horse races.

Dee is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Craig & Barb Mierau of Lincoln; three daughters and son-in-law, Connie & Alan Ogg, Debra Cole, and Ramona Mierau all of Grand Island; seven grandchildren, Jaime, Rob, Audra, Ryan, Kristin, Sandy, and Schad; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Darrell Stevens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Albert, her grandson, Shane Ruhe, and a sister, Patsy George.
