Obituary

Richard "Dick" Eugene Bellows, 80, of Bayfield, WI formerly of Cairo, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Memorial Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born December 13, 1932 in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Dwight D. and Helen (Roberts) Bellows. Dick graduated from high school in Charles City, Iowa and attended the University of Iowa. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Ord in California. He moved to Phoenix, AZ and attended Arizona State University.
Dick married Barbara A. Alcott on June 14, 1968 in Phoenix, AZ. They moved to Eugene, Oregon and then to Grand Island, Nebraska. Dick owned and operated Bellows Outdoor Advertising in Grand Island from 1972 – 2001. He was a pilot, and an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating.  He was an active member of the Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris Fellow award. He was also active in Ducks Unlimited, the Great Lakes Cruising Club and the Bayfield Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Bayfield, 4 children, Cheryl (Reg) Lintz – Fort Gratiot, MI, Michael (Romie) Goettings – Mesa, AZ, Christina (Jerry) Kukuruda – Wichita, KS and David Bellows – Columbia, SC, 5  grandchildren, Christa, Dana, Brittany, Amber and Nicole and 3 great-grandchildren, David, Kayla and Joshua.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christian Resource Center in Giltner, or a charity of your choice in Dick's honor.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island with Rev. Paul Nauman
officiating. Entombment with be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cairo.
