Donna R. Anderson, 73, of Grand Island, passed away June 9, 2013 at home with her family at her side.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Canady will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Donna was born on February 3, 1940 on the family farm in Fillmore County, Nebraska the daughter of the late Clarence and Evelyn (Mart) Rayer. She was the younger of two children.
Mrs. Anderson grew up in Grand Island and graduating from Grand Island Senior High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to Richard E. Anderson on October 3, 1959. Donna worked in the manufacturing field her entire career, retiring from Triad Plastics in 2005.
Donna loved life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends on motorcycle excursions around the country, being with family, home improvements and decorating, shopping and collecting.
She is survived by son Keith Anderson and his long-time partner Elizabeth (Carol) Wallingsford, daughters Kathy Thompson, Kim Anderson, and Karmen Cahalane, all of Grand Island, son Keenan Anderson of Grand Island, and son Ken Anderson and daughter-in-law Tricia of Omaha.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Zach and Grant Anderson, Jason and Mikelyn Anderson, Shawn and Sherri Weihe, Nathan Anderson, and Brian and Lindsay Thompson. She also had seven great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard and a brother, Francis Rayer.
