Doris "Dee" Minor, 77, of Grand Island, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at Good Samaritan Society of Wood River.  It was Dee's wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life gathering with the family receiving friends will be held, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 4:00 pm at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Darrell Holzinger speaking. Inurnment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's research or donor's choice.

Dee was born April 13, 1935, to Andrew and Nora (Pollock) Gonzales in Denver, CO. She attended school in Denver and at Central Community College in Grand Island. She was united in marriage to Tom Minor on February 3, 1964 in Boulder, CO. After which the couple lived in Cairo and Grand Island. Dee loved to visit with family and friends, travel, and enjoyed playing a good game of poker.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; 5 children, Beverly Wortman of Grand Island, Carl (Gayle) Woods of Grand Island, Tony (Shelly) Woods of TN, Paul Woods of MO, Hope Woods of Grand Island; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters in CO; and 1 brother in CO.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Joe.
