Obituary

Earle R. Kleeb, 84, of Grand Island, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2015 at Tiffany Square with family at his side.

Earle was born March 10, 1931, in Round Valley, NE to Ernest and Essa (Larson) Kleeb. He attended Round Valley School through the eighth grade. He embraced the Gospel truth in September 1944, and was faithful to that choice all of his life. From May 1954 to February 1956, when he was honorably discharged, he served his country in the Army. After basic training he was stationed at the Panama Canal Zone. From 1950 to 1985 Earle was a farmer/rancher in Custer County Nebraska.

He married Laura Grotz on October 18, 1956 at the home of her parents in York, NE.They moved to Loveland, CO in January 1986, where he worked at Centennial Livestock Auction Barn in Fort Collins, CO. In May 1993, he retired, and they moved to Grand Island. They lived on a small acreage where he enjoyed having a few cows and chickens. They moved into town in 2008, where he resided until his death.

Survivors include his wife: Laura Kleeb of Grand Island; daughter: Karla (Mike) Weber of Bar Nunn, WY; son: Kelvin (Suzy) Kleeb of Alda, NE; grandchildren: Ibby Allan; Judd (Shelby) Allan all of Alda; sister-in-law: Ravay Kleeb of Broken Bow, NE; brother-in-law: C.A. (Doris) Grotz of York, NE; Mike's children: Neal, Jason, Justin, Taylor, and Melissa Weber of Bar Nunn, WY; and many other relatives and friends.

Earle was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Loyd Kleeb, sisters: June Kleeb, Arlene Whaley, Iris Marvin; and brothers-in-law: Keith Whaley and Dale Marvin.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Chapel with Stanley Morrison, Doug Ogden, and Virginia Kleeb officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 pm at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 pm. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation or donor's choice.
