Edna D. Noll, 95, of Grand Island, died Thursday, February 11 at the Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 15 at the Grand Island City Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Schulte officiating. There will be a private family visitation prior to the service.
Ms. Noll was born June 21, 1920, in Pennsylvania to Harvey P and Nora E. (Druckenbrod) Noll.
She was a member of the ITA (International Twin Association) with her twin sister, Erma, where they were the National Presidents during 1976, the Bicentennial year, when the convention was held in Philadelphia. She was also a ITA officer for the Pennsylvania State Chapter for one year. Edna was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Ephrata, PA and she attended the Evangelical Free Church in Grand Island.
Edna loved gardening and canning the harvest from her garden. She enjoyed cooking and prepared many Sunday dinners for her sister and extended family. Edna was always ready to give of herself to her family, whether it be babysitting, caring for the ill, she was ready to do whatever she could for her family. Edna and her twin sister Erma enjoyed traveling, especially attending ITA conventions, which took them to many of the 50 states and sever trips abroad.
She is survived by her sister, Norene Gehman of Grand Island; and sister-in-law, Anna Noll of Kissimmee, FL; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew, Brandon.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister Erma Noll; siblings, Meriam Hutchinson and Calvin Noll. Livingston-Sondermann has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
