Eleanor M. Petzoldt, 84, of Central City, formerly of Grand Island passed away on November 15, 2015 at Litzenberg Memorial Hospital in Central City.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, November 19 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Oberbeck officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Eleanor was born January 1, 1931 in Wood River to Earnest and Augusta (Kroeger) Dibbern. She graduated from Wood River High School.
She was united in marriage to Clarence Petzoldt on January 16, 1949 at Grand Island where they made their home. Eleanor baked and decorated wedding and birthday cakes for over 30 years.
She and Clarence always had a garden and she loved to can the fruits and vegetables. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Survivors include her sons, Roger (Lori) Petzoldt and Gary Petzoldt; a grandson, Trevor (Samantha) Petzoldt; great grandchildren, Savannah Spotts, Cameron, Addalyn and McKaya Petzoldt; sisters in law, Phyllis Dibbern, Mildred Dibbern, Myrna Petzoldt and Laverna Petzoldt; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; her parents; and 10 siblings.
