Elyzabethe (Bette) Boehm, 91, of Grand Island died October 19, 2015 at CHI St. Francis Medical Center.

Bette was born on June 24, 1924 in Grand Island to Charles and Elsie (Davis) Linderman. She attended school in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1942. After graduation she worked at the telephone company in Grand Island.

She was united in marriage to Robert Boehm on June 9, 1949 at the First Presbyterian Church in Grand Island where the couple made their home. Bette was a stay at home Mom until her children were older, and then worked at JC Penney in the personnel department until she retired.

Bette loved to play bridge, read, go walking, and travel. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a Friday Book Club. Bette was a loving Mom and a strong and independent woman.

Bette is survived by daughters: Ann Boehm of Ithaca, NY, Bobbe Winters of St. Louis, MO; granddaughter: Alex Winters of St. Louis, MO; nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert; sisters Burnelle Winters, Lucille Murphy, Margaret Doty, and Bernice Williamson.


A memorial service will be at Riverside Retirement Lodge at 10:00 AM Friday, October 23, 2015 with Pastor Caroline Price-Gibson officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
