Freda L. Hagmann, 87, of North Platte, formerly of Grand Island, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the North Platte Care Center in North Platte.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 am Saturday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Reverend Jack Sample will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial of ashes will be in Westlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church or the Great Plains Home Health and Hospice of North Platte.
Freda was born on November 5, 1923 in Cushing, Nebraska to Lawrence and Vera (Cuddeback) Douglass. She grew up and received her education in Cushing.
She was united in marriage to Wendle "Hank" Hagmann on September 29, 1943 in St. Paul. Following Hank's military service the couple made their home in Grand Island. Mr. Hagmann preceded her in death on November 7, 2003.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Freda enjoyed dancing, playing cards, working puzzles and crocheting.
Survivors of the immediate family include a son and daughter-in-law, LaVerne and Janice Hagmann of North Platte and a granddaughter, Michelle Limbach of Kearney.
Also left to cherish her memory are four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jerold and Jackie Douglass of Broken Bow, Les Douglass of Ashby, NE, Vance and Janice Douglass of Ashby, NE and Dennis Douglass of Grand Island, a sister-in-law Dorothy Douglass of North Platte, a brother-in-law, Ernest Wempen of Overton, NE, and several nieces and nephews.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Gary Hagmann, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Leila Wempen, and Janice and Gordon Hendrickson, a brother Alvin Douglass and a sister-in-law, Karan Douglass.
