Obituary

Gary Herman Weidaman, Sr. passed away at the age of 71 on May 10th, 2014 in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is serving the family.
He was born July 10th, 1942 to Herman and Esther Weidaman in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He graduated from Scottsbluff High School and attended college at CSU for two years.
Gary married Sandy Propp May 19th, 1963 and to this union was born Gary Weidaman, Jr. Gary farmed east of Scottsbluff with his dad for four years. Gary and Sandy moved to town and he began to work at Simplot. In 1970 he went to work for Great Western Sugar Company in Mitchell until the factory closed. Gary then moved to Colorado Springs in 1995 where he opened a memorabilia shop called Paradise Sports. In the year 2000 he moved to Grand Island and resided there until he passed away.
Gary's passions were watching sports including his favorite teams the Huskers and Raiders. Gary also loved his garden and all those wonderful flowers he grew.
Survivors include his son JR (Lori), grandchildren JJ (fiancé Annie), and Chelsie, sisters Vicki (Allen) Harimon, Kathy (Rick) Leikam, nieces and nephew Tammy, Kim, Tiffany and Haven.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
