George Daniel Voss, age 77, of Grand Island, passed away November 18, 2022 at CHI St. Francis.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10am at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Rev. Kelly Karges officiating.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 5-7pm at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.  Burial will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorials suggested to the National League of POW/MIA families, https://www.pow-miafamilies.org/you-can-help.html .

He was born June 17, 1945 to Harold and Catherine (Bartenback) Voss in Grand Island.  He grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Northwest High School in 1964 with the first graduating class.  He then enlisted in the Army in April of 1965 and was honorable discharged in January of 1967.  On July 30, 1971, he was united in marriage to Cleo Roberts.

He was employed at the Grand Island VA Medical Center for 25 years in the janitorial department. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He liked motorcycles and attending POW/MIA reunions and banquets, camping and fishing.

Survived by his wife, Cleo; daughter, Kim Janecek; grandchildren, Daniel Welsh, Mikaela Janecek and Elizabeth Janecek; great grandchildren, Lexi, Kaelie and Reileigh Welsh; brother, Mike (Diane) Voss; beloved and spoiled dog, Harley and numerous nephews and nieces.
