Helga Pulte, 85, of Omaha, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at her home.

Mass of Resurrection will be at 10 am Tuesday, September 3rd at Resurrection Catholic Church in Grand Island. Father Jonathan Sorensen will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Monday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with a 7 pm Scripture Wake Service.

Helga was born on June 9, 1928 in Stuttgart, Germany to Ludwig and Elsa Gress. She met Bernie Pulte while working for the US Army as an interpreter. Bernie and Helga were married on May 19, 1947.

Following Bernie's discharge the couple made their home in Omaha. They later moved to Florence, Nebraska where Helga was a homemaker and raised their three children; Bill, Ralph and John.  In 1961 the family moved from north Omaha to Ralston where she worked selling Avon and for the Ralston Public Schools. In 1970 Bernie and Helga moved to Grand Island where she became a realtor for over 30 years.

Mr. Pulte preceded her in death in 1987. In 2005 Helga returned to Omaha to be closer to her family.

She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church while living in Grand Island and was active in the Grand Island Board of Realtors.

Survivors of the immediate family include three sons; William C. and wife Michaela Pulte of Bennington, NE, Ralph B. and wife Bonni Pulte of La Vista, NE, John J. and wife Jan Pulte of Papillion, NE; grandchildren; William J. and wife Jessica Pulte of Gretna, NE, Michael A. and wife Shannon Pulte of Bakersfield, CA, Andrew and wife Beccy Pulte of Knoxville, TN, Megan Clark and husband Richard of Omaha, NE, Matthew Pulte of Lincoln, NE, Michelle Havlovic and husband Travis of Gretna, NE, Joseph and wife Katie Pulte of Papillion, NE, Thomas Pulte of Omaha, NE, and Kathleen Pulte of Omaha, NE.

She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Don and wife Barb Pulte of Omaha, NE.

Helga was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her parents-in-law, Joe and Cecilia Pulte.
