Denman
Jun 27, 1931 — Jul 26, 2022
Alda
Jacqueline Cleone Denman, 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Grand Island Regional Hospital.
Jacque was born on June 27, 1931 to Cecil and LaVeda (Cronk) Hayden . She grew up in Alda, attended District #6 then on to graduate with the Class of 1950 from Alda High School. She shared multiple stories of being the oldest helping her family and the fun she had in the chalk caves around the area. Jacque married her classmate and childhood sweetheart, Donald Dean Denman on October 21, 1951 at Trinity Methodist Church in Grand Island.
Jacque joined Don while he was enlisted in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean War. Jacque and Don then returned home to Alda where she was a hard working farmer's wife of Triple D Simmental. She cooked and delivered many meals, raised lots of animals, and tended to all the household needs while being "on call" 24/7 on the farm. Together Jacque and Don had two children, her favorite and only son, Kimball "Cobra" Charles was born on September 14, 1954 and her lucky charm, Pamela Dawn on March 17, 1956. She had a passion for working with children and earned her Teaching Certificate from Kearney State College.
Jacque enjoyed spending time outdoors on the farm, raising and caring for animals along with any and all flowers in her garden. She was extremely creative and loved participating in craft fairs while spending most of her proceeds supporting other vendors. Jacque's favorite pastimes included bird watching, collecting frogs and tea cups, viewing Westerns, or curling up with one of her multiple Louis L'Amour books. Grandma Acky adored and cherished every minute she was able to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandkids. She took pride in sharing with them endless stories of her own memories growing up which we are all sure included numerous fibs or tall tales.
Jacque is survived by her daughter, Pam (Len) Sorahan; brother, Richard (Val) Hayden; sister, Rosemary Stoker; grandchildren along with great grandchildren, Kinsey (Andy) Marlee & Quinlee Bauer, Dusty Sorahan, Brooke (Brandon) Kenna, Sawyer, Gemma, & Kimber Thompson, Bobbi (Darren) Haley (Jimmy), Abigail, & Faith Parlin, Jennifer (Chad) Lucas & Landon Fischer; daughter in law, Rhonda Denman; sister-in-law, Sharon (Wayne) Meier and multiple nieces, nephews, and friends.
