Janet Sheetz, 70, formerly of Grand Island, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln.
Janet was born December 25, 1941 to Seth and Edith (Nelson) Glover in Loup City. She received her education at Dry Valley School located between Ansley and Sargent. She graduated from Broken Bow High School and then attended Grace Bible College in Omaha for 2 years.

Janet worked at an insurance company and food/beverage company in Omaha. She married Morris Sheetz in Omaha on February 19, 1977. In 1986, she moved to Grand Island. During this time she attended Kearney State College and graduated in 1993 with a social work degree. She was employed at Ideal Truck Line, Eco-Water, Incredible Bulk, and Wal-Mart.

She attended and was involved in the Third City Christian Church and was a member of the Young at Heart Group. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She will be remembered for always having a smile and her kind and caring heart.

Janet is survived by her son, Morris Sheetz of Lincoln; granddaughter, Aubree Sheetz of Lincoln; special friends, Dave and Carol Owens of Goffstown, NH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Morris in 1984, and an infant brother.


Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11:00 am at the
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Chapel with Pastors Scott Jones and Dave
Owen officiating burial follow at the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 with the family receiving friends at
the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
