Jean Michelle Rork, 61, of Grand Island died October 6, 2017 after a courageous 8-month battle with cancer.
A celebration of life service will be held at Lake McConaughy, Triple T cabins on her 62nd birthday, June 13, 2018. Burial of ashes will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Serene Care Hospice or to the family for scholarship funds for her grand boys, which can be mailed or dropped off at the funeral home.

Jean was born on June 13, 1956 at Lincoln, Nebraska to Jack and Bev (Wieman) Manning. She grew up in Lincoln and Grand Island graduating high school from Grand Island Senior High.
She hit the lottery on September 16, 1978 when marrying her love, Darrell R. Rork, at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Grand Island, she added some amazing and supportive in-laws to her life. After their marriage, the couple lived in St. Libory and Grand Island while raising their two children; daughter, Angi and son, Clint.
She was the C.F.O. at Riverside Lodge and had worked for the same employer for 40 years. She was a member and past secretary of the Isaack Walton League, a member of the Saddle Club and Platt Duetsche and in the past, was a part of Leadership Tomorrow and GILT.
Jean was such an amazing woman; it is hard to describe such a unique individual fully. She was studious and practical, she was unable to convey her words without talking with her hands had an unparalleled dry sense of humor and a smile always plastered on her face.
She enjoyed woodworking, foosball, playing pool, gardening and spending time with her family; especially her grandsons.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years; daughter, Angi Rork (Casey Jarman) of Dannebrog; grandsons, Cannon and Kai Jarman of Dannebrog; her brother, Terry Manning of Lincoln; half-sister, Kristi (Rich) Giles of Halsey; mother-in-law, Monica Rork; sisters-in-law, Kim (Danny) Engel, Kathy (Steve) Krupski, Karen Dinkel, Karla (Dick) Clarke; brothers-in-law, Doug (Melinda) Rork and Donnie Rork; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and her children's friends that she treated as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Clint in 2002; brother, Joe Manning; father-in-law, Darrell E. Rork, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Danny Rork.
