Jerry D. Hulinsky, 67, of Grand Island, died Monday, October 25, 2010 at his home.
The family will be greeting friends and neighbors on Friday from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. with a lunch being served in the family gathering room at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Mr. Hulinsky's body was cremated and there will be no visitation.
Mr. Hulinsky was born on December 23, 1942 in Burwell, Nebraska to Edward and Katheryn (Bruha) Hulinsky.
Survivors of the immediate family include one daughter and son-in-law Angie (Jeremy) Bryan of Sparks, Nevada; two sons, Scott Hulinsky and Kevin Hulinsky both of Grand Island; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Emanuel Hulinsky, Jim (Helen) Hulinsky, Laddie (Carolyn) Hulinsky all of Burwell, Robert (Jenny) Hulinsky of Ord; and two sisters, Helen Bower of Burwell, and Evelyn Stephens of Ord.
Additional survivors include two grandchildren, Tyler Hulinsky and Tessa Hatcher both of Grand Island.
Mr. Hulinsky grew up on a farm 13 miles south of Burwell. He graduated from Burwell High School in 1960.
In 1968, he moved to Grand Island. He was employed at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. He then worked for Fairbanks-Morse Pump Company, and was then employed by Hornady Manufacturing from 1988 until August of this year.
Mr. Hulinsky was married for 35 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing horseshoes, and played the base horn in numerous polka bands.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Bernard.
