Jerry was born September 5, 1947 to Francis and Mary (Cunningham) Miller in Grand Island, Nebraska. He grew up and attended schools in Grand Island. He then completed trade school in Sidney, Nebraska for body and fender repair.
Jerry married Pamela Beier in 1966. Born to them in 1967 was their daughter, Tina. Jerry worked in the construction field and later started a career in sales merchandising and marketing which took him too many areas in the middle states. He worked as a manager of an estate in Texas before returning to Grand Island. Back in Grand Island, he started his own construction company-Jerry's Home Improvement.
He met Pamela Sober and they were married in 1995. They were members of the G.I. Family Church, later renamed Spirit of Life Church.
Jerry was very talented in his construction abilities and dabbled in many hobbies such as wrought iron art and chain saw art. He was a man who liked to think outside of the box and find solutions. His greatest form of enjoyment, in his retirement, was to go for road trips in his 1930 Model A Ford Cabrella Convertible.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Tina and Rich Klingerman; their children, Caitlin and Carson of Topeka, Kansas; wife, Pamela; her children and grandchildren; three sisters, Susie and Jim Kusak and family of Dannebrog, Nebraska, Jackie and Lodie Reygers and family of Costa Mesa, California, Beverly and Duanne Larson and family of St. Libory, Nebraska; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David and Lynn Miller.
Jerry M. Miller, 65, of Grand Island, died unexpectedly at his home on
Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Memorial service will be Saturday, October
20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Spirit of Life Church located at 2304
Macron Street in Grand Island with Duane and Diana Covey officiating. It
was Jerry's wish to donate his body as a gift to science.
