Jo Anne (Schroeder) Warford, 76, of Grand Island died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at home.
Memorial services will be at 1 pm Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Reverend Jack Sample will officiate. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at a later date. Cremation services were provided by Westlawn Memorial Park.
Jo Anne was born on December 30, 1934 in Fullerton, Nebraska to John and Margaret (Heule) Schroeder. She grew up in Fullerton and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1952.
She was united in marriage to Bill E. Holomek and the couple made their home in St. Libory with their three children. She worked at the St. Paul Legion Club, the Conoco Café and B and E Café.
She was united in marriage to George Warford on July 8, 1988. Mr. and Mrs. Warford made their home in Grand Island. George and Jo Anne loved to travel and they visited every state except Alaska and Hawaii. She also enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching and fishing.
Survivors of the immediate family include a son Michael Holomek of Grand Island, two daughters and sons-in-law; Michelle and Scott Ripp of Lexington and Melissa and Todd Wood of Grand Island, a stepson, Mark Warford and his wife Mary of Grand Island, and a stepdaughter, Nancy Thorpe and her husband Jim of Spokane, WA.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Jo Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband bill, her husband George, two brothers; Roger and John Schroeder, and two infant granddaughters; Jessica and Megan.
