Josephine Grace Hurley Hagadorn, 94, of Grand Island, died Friday, June 12, 2015 at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island.

Josephine was born August 22, 1920 in Grand Island to John and Elizabeth (Mohr) Hurley. She attended schools in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1938.
She married Donald LaMar Bates on August 17, 1940 in Grand Island. They had four children. She married Robert Kenneth Hagadorn on June 15, 1966.

Josephine enjoyed country gospel music and taking trips to Branson for music shows. She also liked working outdoors and growing flowers.

Survivors include son: Donald LaMar, Jr (Virginia) Bates of North Carolina; daughters: Jolene Didier and Peggy Nelson both of Grand Island; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands: Donald Bates and Robert Hagadorn; longtime companion: Harlan Gulzow; and son: John O. Bates.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel. Jay Towell will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Tuesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
