Joshua Ray Swaim, 37, of Grand Island passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17 at his home. A Celebration of life service will be 4:00 PM, Monday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Oberbeck officiating.

He was born on Aug. 7, 1979 to Gordon Ray and Dorothy (Deering) Swaim at Frazier Park, CA. He grew up in the Simi Valley area in California.
Josh was united in marriage to Samarra (Hamner) on Nov. 7, 2005 at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, NV. The couple then made their home in Grand Island where they raised their beautiful family.

He is survived his wife, Samarra; children, Laila, Josh Jr., Shayne, Skyler, and Wayne Swaim; father, Gordon Swaimand his wife Maria; and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends.

Josh is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Swaim; grandmother, Dorothy Deering; Grandfather Doyle Swaim; and grandmother-in-law, Sharon Hamner.
