Judith (Judy) Boltz, 56, of Grand Island died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Golden Living Center-Lakeview in Grand Island. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island. Pastor Harvey Johnson is officiating. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Judy was born October 24, 1955 in Grand Island to Harry, Jr. and Suzanne (Nuss) Paulman. She attended school in Grand Island and graduated from senior high. She then attended beauty school. On August 26, 1978 she married her childhood sweetheart, Danny Boltz. They lived in Grand Island and she worked as a beautician until becoming a stay-at-home mom. She was very active in many of her children's activities including a being Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader and involved in PTA.
She loved all animals, especially cats. She also enjoyed many outdoor activities including gardening, camping, and fishing. Her indoor hobbies were knitting and crocheting. Judy and Danny enjoyed traveling to Florida, California, and especially Colorado to the mountains for skiing.
Judy is survived by her husband, Danny Boltz of Grand Island; son, Cody Boltz of Fremont, NE; daughter, Meagan (Randy) Young of Grand Island; 2 sisters, Barb (Sam) White of North Platte, NE and Cathy (Rich) Reed of Grand Island; and sister-in-law, Karen Autrey of Lincoln, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
