Karen Louise Anderson, 75, of Grand Island passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at Grand Island Lake View Care Home.
Memorial Service will be at 10:30AM Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kelly Karges officiating. Visitation will be 5-7PM Thursday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
She was born in Grand Island to Glenn and Blanche (Packer) Fitchhorn on January 11, 1944. She attended school in various communities throughout Nebraska and Kansas.
While both working at Model Laundry, Karen met the love of her life, Roger Anderson. They were united in marriage on August 1, 1964 at Trinity United Methodist of Grand Island and celebrated 54 years of marriage. The couple made their home in Grand Island where they raised five children.
She enjoyed crocheting, camping many weekends throughout her life, listening and dancing to Elvis, caring for her pets and spending time with family, especially attending sporting events for the grandchildren whom she was very proud of.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Roger Anderson; their children, Randy and Holly Anderson of Grand Island, Scott and Jill Anderson of Republic, MO, Dawn and Brian Schultz of Platte City, MO, Kathy and Nathan Woodard of Billings, MT, Mike and Hope Anderson of Grand Island; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her brother, Jon and Kelly Fitchhorn of Grand Island; and numerous friends and family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother Rodney Fitchhorn.
