Obituary

Keith A Fischer, 76, of Grand Island, NE passed away Monday April 15, 2019 with family by his side.

A Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend James Golka officiating. There will be Rosary at 5:00 PM with a visitation from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Thursday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.

Keith was born October 8, 1942 to Wilbert and Alyce Fischer in Geddes, SD. He graduated from Wagner High School in 1960. He was a member of the Wagner Fire Department and was in the South Dakota National Guard.

He was united in marriage to Jane Nolan on August 1st, 1964 in Fairfax, SD. They made their home in Grand Island, NE where they raised their 3 sons. He worked for New Holland until retiring in 1999 when he opened his own business in Grand Island, Industrial and Maintenance Services Inc.

Keith enjoyed golf, pool, playing blackjack and was an avid horse race fan. He loved attending family gatherings, especially spending time with all the children.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Jane; sons and their spouses, Todd and Michelle of Raleigh, NC, Brian and Susan of Scottsdale, AZ, and Brent and Annette of Grand Island; a sister, Connie Fischer; two brothers, Lynn and Sherri Fischer, and Jerome and Angie Fischer all of Wagner, SD; six grandchildren, Alexander, Alexandria, Nolan, Jade, Nicolette and Madison; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William; and nephew, Michael.
