Kenneth "Ken" F. Saner, 91, of Alda, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2025, after a long, fruitful life filled with love, joy, and happiness.
To honor his wishes, cremation was chosen.
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025, at The United Methodist Church in Alda, Nebraska. Pastor Rachel Nkonge will officiate the service.
Memorials are kindly suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
Ken was born on April 4, 1933, to Fred & Myra (Carruth) Saner near Brewster, Nebraska.
He grew up in Dunning, Nebraska, and attended school and graduated from Dunning High School. He worked on his uncle's ranch northeast of Dunning.
Ken was united in marriage to Jessie Standlea in 1954. To this union two children, Terry and Ronald were born.
Ken worked in construction for Missouri Valley Construction Company for several years. After retirement, he worked for Alda City Maintenance Dept. and the Alda Fire Dept.
He enjoyed working outside in his yard. He could fix anything; he was mechanically inclined to work on cars. He loved to cook and he was proud of his delicious pancakes he could make. He was a caring and considerate person to his family and friends.
Ken is survived by his son, Ronald Saner & Noe of Alda; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Bryan; and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Jessie Saner, son Terry Saner, sister Evelyn.
