Kimberly Sue Anderson, 53, of Grand Island, entered into God's care on June 14, 2017 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha.Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, June 20 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 21 at 10:30 AM.

Kim was born March 13, 1964 to Richard E. and Donna R. (Rayer) Anderson. She grew-up in Grand Island and attended Grand Island Senior High School, graduating in the class of 1982. She later graduated from Spencer School of Business.

She started her career in 911 dispatching and later worked as a typist for Principal Financial. She was subsequently employed for many years in medical transcription and administrative support at St. Francis Medical Center. Even though Kim experienced medical challenges from the early age of five years old, it did not diminish her independence, drive, or zest for life. She stoically overcame anything put in her path.

Kim enjoyed camping, fishing, and cooking in her spare time. She especially loved spending time with family.

She is survived by her brothers Keith Anderson, his two children Jason and Mikelyn, and Keith's partner Carol Wallingsford; Ken Anderson, his wife Tricia, and sons Zac and Grant; Keenan Anderson and partner Heather Clayman; sisters Kathy Thompson and her children Lindsay, Brian, and Nathan; Karmen Cahalane and her children Shawn and Sherri Weihe.

In addition, Kim had many extended family members who will miss her. She is also survived by long-time friend Larry Clark.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents.
