Lillian "Del" Delphine Stobbe, 90 of Grand Island, NE, passed away, Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at home with family by her side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28th at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island with Father James Golka officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 27 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. A Christian Wake Service will be at 7:00 pm.
She was born Nov. 25, 1925, on the family farm near Ashton, NE, to John and Mary (Jasnoch) Peters. On May 13, 1946 she married Eldon Stobbe at Omaha, NE. After which the couple made their home in Grand Island. To this union 8 children were born. She worked for many years at the Nebraska Veterans Home. She also loved being a homemaker and caring for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Del enjoyed cooking and canning, gardening, reading, watching football, especially the Huskers, playing cards, and trips to the casino. Her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her family and
her dog Molly.
She is survived by her sons, Ted Stobbe of Grand Island, and Don (Pat) Stobbe of Kansas City, MO; daughters, Sheila (Bob) Krolikowski of Grand Island, and Roxie (Jason) Zoucha of Grand Island; 21 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, sisters, Joyce Stobbe of Grand Island and Rita Budzinski of St. Paul; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Stobbe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eldon; 4 sons, John, Joseph, Gary, and Allan; 2 grandsons; 1 great grandson; 4 sisters; and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Stobbe.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
