Linda M. Holley, 55, Grand Island, died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Golden Living Center Lakeview.
Memorial services will be at 10 am Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Reverend Richard Piontkowski will officiate. Cremation services were provided by Westlawn Memorial Park Crematory. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park.
Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society.
Linda was born on November 26, 1958 at Bridgeport, Nebraska to Francis "Duane" and Kaylene "Kay" (Dymek) Holley. She grew up and received her education in Spalding, Aurora and Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High School in 1978. Following high school she worked as a dog groomer at Honore Kennel. She also worked at McDonald's for over 15 years, until retiring due to poor health.
Linda loved animals, especially dogs, and she was a strong supporter of A.S.P.C.A. and the Humane Society. She enjoyed reading, shopping and watching reruns of Gilligan's Island. She was also a big Elvis Presley fan.
She is survived by her parents, Duane and Kay Holley of Grand Island; two brothers, Kent Holley of Grand Island, and Scot Holley and his wife Melissa of Denver; a niece, Margot; and two nephews, Jake and Evan.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
