Linda Kay Kelly, 72, of Grand Island, NE, formerly of Blanca, CO, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at Azria Health Broadwell in Grand Island, NE.

Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Cremation was chosen.

Linda's family will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Linda was born July 8, 1951 in Hot Springs, SD to Owen and Fern (Dunsmore) Parkinson. Linda was raised in O'Neill, NE and graduated from O'Neill High School in 1969.

Linda spent many years in Colorado before moving to Grand Island, NE, in 2009 where she worked at CHI Health St. Francis Environmental Services. Linda retired in 2019. Linda was a friendly face around the halls of St. Francis for almost 10 years and people loved and appreciated her dedication to her work and the patients.

Linda is survived by her parents, Owen and Fern Parkinson of Grand Island, NE; siblings, Leonard (Cheryl) Parkinson of Council Bluffs, IA and LaDonna (Chuck) Ortega of Grand Island, NE; son, David Sidak of Emmet, NE, daughter, Wendy (Guido) Del Re of Austin, TX, and son, Aaron Kelly of Young, AZ; grandchildren, Douglas Sidak, Morgan Sidak, Destiny Sidak, Diezel Sidak, Makayla Rinestine, Morgan Rinestine, and Cheyenne Peterson; great-grandchildren, Milo Sidak, Ophelia Sidak, Anabelle James, and Jaden James; and her beloved nieces Kristi Gideon and Leslie Belzer.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Lacy Rinestine.
