Linda J. Thompson, 70, of Grand Island, passed away on July 7, 2018 at her home.

Linda was born April 8, 1948 to George and Lucille (Roller) Tomlinson. She was united in marriage to Vern Thompson on September 7, 1963 at North Platte, Ne. The couple lived in North Platte and later moved to Hershey, Ne in 1972.

She was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary, charter member of Hershey Baptist Church, and Lake Maloney Golf Course.

She is survived by her husband, Vern Thompson of Grand Island, Ne; sons, Richard Thompson, of Palm Springs, CA, Gary (Kristie) Thompson, of North Platte, Ne, Russell (Tonya) Thompson, of Grand Island, Ne, Jamie (Michelle) Thompson, of Kimball, Ne, and Rodney Thompson, of Omaha, Ne; brothers, Walter Tomlinson, of North Platte, Ne, Dan (Kay) Tomlinson, of Hershey, Ne; sisters, Janice Walker, of North Platte, Ne, Yvonne Hiatt, of North Platte, Ne, Debra (Kenny) Durant, of Johnson, Ne; six grandkids; seven step-grandkids; and five great-grandkids.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucille (Roller) Tomlinson; brothers, Reed Tomlinson, and Richard Tomlinson; and grandson Taylon Thompson.
