Lloyd Dale Colfack, 90, of Grand Island passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Grand Island Lakeview Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Tessa Zehring officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 PM at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Grand Island Veterans Honor Guard.

Lloyd was born March 3, 1927 at Grand Island to Vernon and Nettie (Boardman) Colfack. He attended school in Grand Island. He enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17 serving from April 26, 1945 to July 17, 1946 during World War II.
When Lloyd returned from the war, he had various jobs throughout the city until he officially retired in 2007. He was married to Dorathy Evers in Grand Island and to this union 4 children were born: Dale, Sue, Lyn and Cindy. He later married Helen Irene Chism.
Lloyd was a member of the American Legion Post 53 in Grand Island.He enjoyed muscle cars, collecting model cars, and riding motorcycles. He was an expert carpenter, handyman and liked working in the yard and around the home.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Irene; his four children and their spouses, Dale Colfack of Denver, CO, Sue and John Utecht of Doniphan, Lyn and John Guyette of Grand Island, and Cindy and Dennis Schlueter of Waverly, NE; one brother, Vernon Colfack of Grand Island; 7 grandchildren and their spouses; 18 great grandchildren and their spouses; and 1 great great grandchild; and step-son, Gary Chism and his son Sean.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Elaine McLellan.
